Dolomite Shores features the exposed bedrock of Silurian dolomite and a pair of rugged red cedars that clutch to the thin sediment that has accumulated. Silurian dolomite is often spotted with fossils of the ancient corals who lived 450 – 350 million years ago. Inspired by Newport Beach State Park in Door County, Wisconsin.

The State Park series features the varied landscapes found throughout the Midwest and is representative of the vastness of the American landscape. Each print features one hand-carved block and two layers of abstract color fields created using type-high wood blocks. All three layers are letterpress printed. 

Available framed or unframed - frames are solid wood and made in the USA.
