The Common Blue Violet, Viola sororia, is an edible ground cover plant high in vitamins A & C. It is a larval host plant for many butterfly species.

The flora & fauna series features the multitude of beings that call the Midwest their home. Each print features one hand-carved block and two layers of abstract color fields created using type-high wood blocks. All three layers are letterpress printed.
