Downy Woodpecker features a male with the handsome red swatch across the back of his head. The smallest woodpecker native to North America, these birds create tree cavities that later serve as dwellings for other woodland creatures such as other birds, squirrels, and bats.

The flora & fauna series features the multitude of beings that call the Midwest their home. Each print features one hand-carved block and two layers of abstract color fields created using type-high wood blocks. All three layers are letterpress printed.

Available framed or unframed - frames are solid wood and made in the USA.
